Since the forestry and timber sector must adapt to increasingly rapid demographic, climate, sociological and economic developments, the 25th edition of Forexpo aims to promote innovations which enhance all areas of the activities of this sector, and ensure competitiveness and positive results for its stakeholder.
The theme of innovation will be illustrated through the exhibition of material, demonstrations in the forest and at the stands of exhibitors from the sector, as well as through debates, symposia and events over these days. There will also be discussions on innovation with accounts by stakeholders, and on forecasts, management and anticipation techniques, markets, risk prevention tools, etc.
Over three days, from 15 to 17 June, the event will for the third time take place on the 70- hectare site around the Mimizan aerodrome. The exhibitors' stands will be spread over a loop more than three kilometres long, a vast presentation area divided into five zones (tillage and reforestation, mechanised felling, short wood haulage, long timber haulage and a circuit focussed on 4x4 vehicles), and all services.
The organisers of Forexpo wanted to present a display to embody this innovation: the Atelier d’Agencement, a Gironde business in Mérignac, has designed and produced a wooden globe.
