Dan Kraker is based in Duluth, Minn., and covers northeastern Minnesota for MPR News. He joined MPR in the summer of 2011 after nearly 10 years at Arizona Public Radio in Flagstaff, where he won two national Edward R. Murrow awards for his coverage of Native American issues. After a decade spent exploring the desert canyons of the southwest, he's thrilled to rediscover the lakes and rivers of northeast Minnesota. He lives in Duluth with his wife and three daughters.
