The In-Woods Expo 2007, scheduled for April 26-28, 2007 on a managed forest in Arkansas's Hot Springs - Little Rock corridor.

In-Woods Expo 2004 drew nearly 3,000 loggers, foresters, landowners, teachers, kids, and others curious about the future of forestry and logging to the woods to view today's and tomorrow's harvesting and forest management systems in action.

InterSaw, Canada’s Sawmilling Show will be co-locating with LOGFOR, The National Logging & Forestry Show. Both events will be held at Expo Cité in Quebec City on September 6-8, 2007.

The co-locating of the two shows will make for a comprehensive industry event, showcasing the evolution of the forestry process from harvesting though to processing at the mill. The combining of the two events will allow for a larger audience of buyers and decision-makers. Moreover, with the increased emphasis on fibre supply chain management, it will serve to educate attendees about the integrated nature of the forest industry.

The three-day event, set for June 21-23, 2007, will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. This unique marketing opportunity showcases the latest products, technology, and services of the forest products industry, including lumber, plywood, pallet, and treating, as well as engineered wood products and secondary processing.

The theme for our 2007 convention is “The Cutting Edge.” It reflects my long held belief that the logging industry is in the midst of major, often painful change. I am reminded of a wisdom shared with me 15 years ago by an old logger friend in Montana: “The world is not using less wood,” he said. “So the only questions are, where will it come from and what language will we be speaking on the job.”
