Montréal, QC – Montreal’s world-renowned Olympic Stadium will once again be the venue for InterSaw – the International Sawmilling Expo, as it returns for its next edition November 2nd and 3rd, 2016. Excitement is already building, as this major event only happens once every two years and attracts sawmill owners, mill workers, and other industry stakeholders.
Attendance is expected to rise in anticipation of an even bigger and better show in 2016, which will offer new, exciting features to its growing audience. Exhibitors won’t find a better opportunity to put their products and services in front of all the major players in the industry.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…
“As a General Manager of spruce framing lumber mills, InterSaw was a great opportunity to meet with several sawmill equipment suppliers in a short period of time. The volume of equipment displayed allowed me to compare what the suppliers have to offer in terms of new technologies. It was also an event where I had a chance to widen my network of people in the forest business industry.”
- Jerome Pelletier with J.D. Irving Ltd.
“The quality of visitors was just excellent. InterSaw helped VAB Solutions reconnect with business partners and meet new customers. It helped us move forward with two projects that we had started and I think we will see other projects as a direct result of this show.”
- Jessy Ross with VAB Solutions
“Our company is proud to have taken part in InterSaw, a major international event. InterSaw provided us with increased visibility, giving us an opportunity to meet with both existing and potential customers and it was a pleasure to talk to them about the different products and services that we offer. Another hugely successful tradeshow!’’
- Dany Brousseau with Liebherr Canada
“It has been a pleasure to participate at this 2014 edition of InterSaw Montreal! Well organized, great location, impressive environment within the Olympic Stadium. Well balanced attendance with interesting and interested professionals. Great show!”
- Damien Meyer with LINCK GmbH
After enjoying the success of the initial event and already planning their participation in the next, exhibitors had requested an adjustment in scheduling. Show Management listened; the event will now take place later in the fall and is moving to a Wednesday/Thursday show.
“We’re so pleased to be back in Montreal for this comprehensive sawmilling event,” said Show Manager Shawn Murphy. “Olympic Stadium is a fantastic venue for a tradeshow of this nature. The more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit space means lots of room for equipment displays and active demonstrations. This show has a unique hands-on aspect that both exhibitors and visitors love.”
The 2016 edition of InterSaw will feature the latest equipment and services, focusing on the full spectrum of technology – from influences in the log-yard, through primary and secondary breakdown, to the final shipping of the product. Attendees will have the opportunity to compare their current set-up to the latest state-of-the-art, most technologically-advanced equipment on the market.
The show will also feature a BiomassExpo component, a thriving industry that is a perfect complement to sawmilling. Sawmillers have the fibre access, as well as the energy and market diversification needs, and the biomass sector has a role to play around both. This component will include the latest equipment available in today’s market, including grinders, pellet mills, fibre dryers, boilers, conveyors, silos, packaging, mill yard equipment, and more.
InterSaw will once again be co-located with Canada Woodworking East, the only show focused on Canada’s bilingual secondary wood marketplace. Back for its second edition, the event will attract cabinet manufacturers, residential and commercial furniture manufacturers, custom wood product manufacturers, architectural woodworkers, millworkers, and more. These two cutting-edge industry events perfectly complement one another to meet the demands of the multifaceted Canadian forest industry.
