Knappa based Teevin Bros. Land and Timber Company is planning a $1.125 million improvement to its Rainier log-shipping site.
The company proposes to add seven anchor points or dolphins and two single pile structures in the Columbia River. The structures would allow barges and tugs a place to tie up between Portland and Astoria according to the company’s proposal to ConnectOregon.
The company is asking ConnectOregon to pay $750,000 of the project’s total cost. Teevin Bros. would be responsible for approximately $375,000.
